Can I feed Puppies & Kittens RAW? |
Very simply, YES! Of course, being a diet based on what nature provides, both kittens and puppies would naturally thrive on a raw diet. From weaning, both are more than capable of digesting a raw diet. What we suggest is to add an extra 10% warm water to the food. Nature would provide the food at body temperature so we ask you to get it as close to this as possible. The water also reduces the nutritional value by 10%, just as the mother would do when she regurgitates the food for her siblings.

12 Hours to RAW |
A common question posed to us by new customers is “why are we not allowed to feed the cat or dog for 12 hours before transitioning them onto a raw food diet?”. A carnivore's digestive system works in a very high acidic environment (pH1). The 12 hour transition will allow your pet's stomach pH levels to return to the highly acidic level that it should be naturally. Therefore, the cat or dog will easily be capable of dealing with a raw food diet and raw meaty bones without any digestive issues occurring. This is also why we recommend using K9 and Feline Natural plus raw meaty bones solely, as opposed to being used as a topper for kibble/biscuit based products.

Do not MIX cooked with RAW |
Mixing Raw with cooked does not work, please do not be tempted. If your dog or cat refuses to eat, use the treats to entice them to the food. The treats are freeze dried, which increases the smell and drives them to eat. Picky cats and dogs do not exist; they are just waiting for a food they know they can eat.
